It’s like the writers suddenly flipped a switch and suddenly all of the character arcs that got butchered in the previous movie were miraculously saved. To make up for cutting the resolution scenes in the previous movie short, Winter of Rebirth shows the characters at their lowest points and powerfully develops them all in a way that I honestly think flows better and hits harder than how the game did it. The second half mainly consists of the fight against Nyx and Strega and it’s sort of rushed, but still generally enjoyable. It’s not perfect, and when we get to the battle against Nyx it’s clear that the pacing is about to give way, but the first half of the movie as well as the ending is absolutely spectacular. ![]() ![]() After the third Persona 3 Movie almost annihilated the story I was prepared for this to make things even worse, but as it turns out this not only ended up being a fantastic adaptation of the last part of the games story, it’s also a fucking great film in general. ![]() I’m almost speechless but I’m gonna write about this anyway.
